The TransCorp Local Road Show Train took off in Nnewi today. The road shows are organized by TransCorp as intimate meetings between the company’s senior management and investors, and provide an ideal forum for the presentation of the company’s value proposition. The Nnewi stop was marked by a visit to the palace of the traditional ruler, Igwe Orizu III, and an Investors’ Forum at Beverly Hills Hotel. Igwe Orizu III and leading businessmen and industrialists of Nnewi, a rapidly industrializing city popularly referred to as the Japan of Africa, played host to the TransCorp team. Later in the day TransCorp plans to visit cities all across Nigeria to meet with investors as part of its plans to create awareness about its initial public offering (IPO). The offer which opened on December 27, 2006 is scheduled to close on January 31, 2007. |
